Rewriting the Story of GenZ Youth Mental Health: By Youth, For Youth!

~The Problem~

Recent studies show that nearly two-thirds of GenZ youth (ages 13-28) have faced at least one mental health challenge in the past two years. Their rate is significantly higher than that of older generations. Stigma, limited access to care, and cultural barriers leave countless young people feeling misunderstood, isolated, or unsure where to turn. In too many communities, mental health is still whispered about, dismissed, or ignored entirely.

Letters to Strangers is changing that story.

~Our Mission & Impact~

Our mission is to destigmatize mental health and increase access to youth-centered support, empowering Gen Z-aged youth to take charge of their well-being through peer-to-peer connection, science-informed education, and grassroots advocacy.

Because of support from donors like you, L2S has reached and impacted over 500,000 youth across 72 countries on six continents. We have facilitated more than 60,000 anonymous heartfelt letter exchanges through over 150 chapters and our official online portal. Over the past 10 years, L2S has also awarded $100,000+ in scholarships for mental health advocacy, education, and care, and distributed 3,000+ copies of our official Youth-for-Youth Mental Health Guidebook, and much more!

~Your Impact~

Your contribution, no matter the amount, ultimately strengthens a world where youth feel safe speaking about mental health and where they'll have the tools to heal, grow, and lead. Together, we can create spaces where youth feel understood, connected, and empowered.
